As a mom, taking care of yourself can sometimes take a backseat to taking care of your family. However, it’s important to prioritize self-care, especially during the fall season when the days get shorter and the weather gets cooler.
Self-care is an important aspect of our overall well-being. Taking the time to care for ourselves is not selfish; rather, it is an act of self-preservation.
When we prioritize our own needs and take care of ourselves, we are better equipped to handle the challenges that life throws our way.
By engaging in self-care activities, we are able to recharge and replenish our energy, which ultimately helps us to be more present and effective in our daily lives.

Fall Inspired Self Care Items
Fall is my absolute favorite season. I love the beautiful colors, the falling leaves and gathering next to a cozy fire pit.
The fall season can sometimes be a busy one for most of us, especially as we start to prepare for the upcoming holidays.
As life gets busy, it’s easy to push ourselves to the very bottom on our list of priorities. Sis, prioritize yourself this fall by engaging in some of these self care activities:
Spend time outdoors
Fall is a beautiful season with colorful leaves and cool weather. Go outside and take a walk in nature to enjoy the scenery and fresh air. You can also go apple picking, or have a picnic with your family. This can help to reduce stress and anxiety, and also boost your mood.
Indulge in some of your favorite fall treats
If you’re a fan of lattes like myself, indulge in a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks, a delicious apple cider, sugar cookies, pumpkin bread – you name it. It’s ok to treat yourself every now and again.
Cozy up with a good book or movie
Fall is the perfect time to snuggle up under a warm blanket and get lost in a good story.
Take care of your skin
As the weather cools down, it’s important to moisturize and protect your skin from the elements. Consider adding a hydrating face mask, body scrub or moisturizer to your skincare routine.
Prioritize sleep
With the days getting shorter, it’s important to make sure you’re still getting enough rest. Aim for at least 7 hours of sleep each night and create a bedtime routine to help you wind down before bed.
