How To Make An Oreo Milkshake
Equipment:
Blender
Ingredients:
2 Cups Vanilla Ice Cream
½ Cup Whole Milk
10 to 12 Oreo Cookies
⅓ Cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
Directions:
In a blender add the ice cream, milk, Oreo cookies, and chocolate chips.
Blend together until smooth and creamy. Though I like my milkshakes nice and thick, if it is too thick to suck through a straw then simply add a little more milk.
Pour into a tall glass.
Top with Oreo crumbles and chocolate chips.
Serve immediately.
Recipe Tips
You can use whatever type of milk you want for this recipe. I have found that whole milk adds a little extra creaminess to your milkshake.
If you don’t have Oreo cookies available, you can use any type of sandwich cookie.
If you are a fan of whipped cream, top your Oreo Milkshake with whipped cream and then add additional cookie crumbles and chocolate chips.
Add some razzle dazzle to your shake with chocolate syrup. Simply drizzle chocolate syrup ( or caramel sauce) over the top.
If you’re a chocolate lover, you could also use chocolate ice cream for an extra chocolatey Oreo milkshake, and top with chocolate syrup.
Can I make this Oreo Milkshake vegan?
Yes, this recipe can become vegan with a few simple changes to your ingredients. Oreo cookies are vegan because they do not contain any milk in the ingredients.
Simply use a vegan brand of ice cream and choose a type of milk that is dairy free (such as oat milk). You may need to adjust the amount of milk that you use as well because vegan ice cream is typically not as creamy as those made with regular milk.
